The United States Department of Agriculture has finally replaced the food pyramid we all know and love with something called 'My Plate', which you can learn about at www.choosemyplate.gov (the link to the image is http://www.choosemyplate.gov/images/MyPlateImages/JPG/myplate_white.jpg).
For comparison, here is a link to Canada's guide, which is no longer a diagram (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/alt_formats/hpfb-dgpsa/pdf/food-guide-aliment/print_eatwell_bienmang-eng.pdf). 'My Plate' is basically a diagram in which a dinner plate is broken up into quarters for veggies, grains, fruit, and protein, with a side of dairy. We're definitely heading in the right direction!
