This is an amazing non-profit initiative coming out of Nipissing University! www.lovethelabel.ca Besides reminding people about the unhealthy effects of chemicals, such as how parabens mimic estrogen in the human body; the team has put together a website (and tipcards) that let you know the different names sneaky companies give to these chemicals. So, for example, parabens can also be called 'benzoic acid,' or 'isobutyl p-hydroxybenzoate' on labels. I carry my tipcard in my wallet, and I'm grateful to have it.
